On November 21, 2023, Russ Bray announced his decision to retire at the conclusion of the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship.
Despite stepping away from active calling, Bray expressed his commitment to continuing his association with the PDC as an ambassador.
Beyond his role as a darts caller, Bray has lent his distinctive raspy voice to various media projects. He served as a referee in the PDC’s inaugural video game, PDC World Championship Darts, and became the voice of Feasters, a microwave food business.
