South Africa mourns the death of their beloved deejay and producer, DJ Mbali Umshove. She passed away on Monday, 24 July 2023, at 27.
Amahle Mash Nduli, aka DJ Mbali Umshove, was born on 25 January 1996 in Kokstad. She had continued to climb the ranks in the industry. She caught the attention of music lovers after appearing in a music video for Kabza De Small.
After appearing in Kabza’s first hit single, Umshove, in 2019, she continued to make her way up. She began as a video vixen under Sizzle’s Management.
Speaking to SunBuzz, she said after attracting much attention, she saw it as an opportunity to grow her brand.
Throughout her years in the industry, she worked with many talented music personalities. Mbali collaborated with Audio Addicts and Soulful G on her first single, Konka.
DJ Mbali Umshove featured Audio Addicts, Nandi Ndathane, Nhlonipho, DJ Bom, Soulful G, and The Bartender on her EP.
Her family confirmed her death on social media through an official press release. They appreciate prayers and ask for privacy as they grieve the loss of their cherished daughter.
DJ Mbali Umshove’s memorial service is to hold on Wednesday, 26 July 2023, from 14:00 – 16:00 at The Luxee Lounge (Maboneng).
