Elmeré van der Berg (born 9 April 2001) is a South African netball player. She plays for the North West University, North West Flames, and the South African national team, the Proteas.

Early Life
Elmeré van der Berg was born on 9 April 2001. She hails from Bloemfontein, the capital city of the Free State province in South Africa.
Education
Elmeré van der Berg attended Jim Fouché High in Bloemfontein. She studies a sports coaching and human movement sciences course at the North-West University (NWU).
Career
Van Der Berg played in South Africa’s u16 team that won the Cossasa Games in Lesotho in 2017. She is a goal shooter and goal attack and one of the tallest players in her team.
While in school, she represented South Africa’s u20 team in 2018 and South Africa’s u21 team in 2019-2021. She played for the Flames and Dr Kenneth Kaunda teams.
Elmeré plays for North West University. She has earned two Player of the Match awards in Telkom Netball League against strong outfits in the Fireballs and Stings.
In 2023, the Leeds Rhinos Netball confirmed that Elmeré van der Berg was not joining the Netball Super League team for the season. Her injury would rule the goal-shooter out for many of the campaigns.
Elmeré will play alongside Nichole Taljaard in South Africa’s national preliminary squad in the Netball World Cup in Cape Town. Her team is in Pool C with Jamaica, Sri Lanka, and Wales. The World Cup will start on 28 July 2023.
