Bryoni Govender was born on 17 July 1996 to businessman Devan and his wife, Shireen. Her mother named her after a character in a romance novel.
Bryoni, pronounced similarly to breyani, is from Kempton Park, Gauteng. Growing up, people teased her, and she says colorism within the Indian community made her question her beauty for a long time.
Govender started modeling as a teenager of fourteen years. Being in the Miss South Africa competition has been her childhood dream.
Education
Bryoni Govender studied Law at the University of Johannesburg. She is the first graduate in her family. She is a candidate attorney in Melrose Arch.
Career
Govender is a Motherkind fitness award winner. She is a model and beauty queen. Bryoni will represent South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant in November 2023.
