Deon Fourie (born 25 September 1986) is a South African rugby union footballer. He plays the Hooker and Loose forward positions. He is one oldest rugby player still playing in the country and plays for the Western Province provincial team.
With his team Western Province Rugby Union, he faced the Vodacom Bulls in a once-off Super Rugby warm-up match at the Peter Moka-ba Sports Complex in 2014.

Deon André Fourie was born on 25 September 1986 in Pretoria, South Africa. His father, Deon Snr, and mother, Jeanette, have retired and are proud of his achievements. He moved to Polokwane and practiced rugby playing for Hoërskool Pietersburg.
Career
Fourie was selected for the Limpopo Blue Bulls Craven Week side in 2004. He played for the South African u/19 team in 2005 and for Western Province from 2005 to 2007.
The Rugby union hooker was the Western Province’s captain during the Currie Cup champions. He has represented South Africa at the international level.
Deon signed a deal to keep him in Cape Town from 2013 to 2015. But he got released from the contract to join French Top 14 side Lyon before the 2014–15 Top 14 season. Fourie plays for the Stormers and Western Province in professional rugby.
His display of talent for the DHL Stormers in the 2013 Super Rugby season Fourie earned him at least four Vodacom Super Rugby Man of the Match awards.
Deon Fourie rugby journey in the youth ranks started with playing for Limpopo Blue Bulls in 2004. He played for Western Province from 2005 to 2007.
In 2006, he began his senior career with Western Province and made 90 appearances and 110 points. He played for the Stormer and an oversea side Lyon in the French Top 14.
In 2019, he moved to Grenoble and made 42 appearances and 50 points. He returned to his home and rejoined Western Province. In May 2023, Stormers assistant coach Dawie Snyman shared the news about Deon Fourie being injured.
His availability for the United Rugby Championship semi-final against Connacht at Cape Town remained a slight doubt. He felt a twinge in his hamstring during Saturday’s 33-21 quarter-final win against the Bulls.
Personal Life
Deon André Fourie and his wife, Jean-Marie Fourie, have two children – a boy and a girl. The couple celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on 4 January 2023.
