Irvin Khoza (born 27 January 1948 in Alexander) is a South African football administrator and businessperson.

He is the chairperason of Orlando Pirates Football Club, Chairperson of the SA Premier Soccer League.

Daughters

Irvin’s daughter, Sonono Khoza, was in a relationship with the former president, Jacob Zuma. 

Their relationship produced his twentieth child, Thandekile Matina Zuma.

He lost his other daughter, Zodwa Khoza, in 2006 to what the doctors described as multiple organ failure.

She died at the Louis Pasteur Hospital, Pretoria.

Career

He is the Vice-President of the South African Football Association.

In 1980, he became the secretary of Orlando Pirates and in about eleven (11) years in the Football club, in 1991, he became the owner.

He played a credible role to secure the current sponsors of the league, Absa Group Limited during his service as the chairman of the Premier Soccer League.

He served as the Chairperson of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee South Africa.

This followed his service as the Chairperson of South Africa’s 2010 FIFA World Cup bid.

He was on the team that secured the right to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Later, Irvin claimed the position of the chairperson of the SA Organising Committee.
