Kandi Burruss net worth is
$35 Million
American songwriter, singer, actor, TV and record producer Kandi Burruss was born on 17 May 1976, in College Park, Georgia USA, and is still probably best known as a member of the successful female American R&B band “Xscape”, from the early 1990s until 2009.
So just how rich is Kandi Burruss, as of early 2017? Her net worth is estimated by authoritative sources at over $35 million, although her income these days of more than $450,000 dollars from appearing in the TV series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” suggests that this may well be rising.
Kandi Burruss Net Worth $35 Million
Kandi Burruss was raised with her younger brother who died as a kid. Kandi took her first steps in her career as a musician in 2000, when her debut album “Hey Kandi” was released, which included such hits as “Cheatin on me” and “Don’t Think I’m Not”, and hit #32 on the US Billboard Top R&B and Hip Hop chart. Her next album wasn’t released until 10 years later, and called “Kandi Koated”, but it wasn’t as successful as her first. Kandi decided to form the duo “Peach Candy” with American rapper Rasheeda, and they released Peach Candy EP which included a five-track lineup on iTunes. However, her fortune rose again when she founded her own record label “Kandi Koated Entertainment”.
Subsequently, most of Kandi’s wealth has been earned through her talented songwriting, for artists such as Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Faith Evans among many others. Her most popular songs have become “The Writings on the Wall” performed by American R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, and the song “No Scrubs” performed by R&B band TLC.
Additionally, as an actress, Kandi is best known through her appearance in the American reality television series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, in which she has starred since season two. of the show in 2009, at considerable benefit to her bank account..
Kandi Burruss has also appeared on the popular TV show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, helping one female contestant to win a million dollars, which Kandi apparently enjoyed as now she is appearing in TV shows more often, including in “Are We There Yet” and “Single Ladies”.
Talking about her personal life, Kandi has a daughter with her ex-boyfriend Russell “Block” Spencer – the creator of indie record label “Block Entertainment”. Kandi then became engaged to Ashley “A. J.” Jewell, but he died from a serious head injury in a fight in October 2009. In April 2014 Kandi married Todd Tucker – an American production manager and line producer; they currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
