Hasin Jahan is the daughter of Mohammad Hassan (father) and Mrs. Mohammad (mother). She was born on February 2, 1980, in Siuri, Birbhum, West Bengal, India. Before her marriage, she pursued a career as a model and aspired to become a successful model and work in the entertainment industry.

However, due to family commitments, she had to leave her modeling career.

She belongs to a Muslim Bengali family, with her father, Mohammad Hassan, being a Kolkata-based businessman who runs a transportation business, and her mother being a homemaker.

In 2002, she had her first marriage to Sheikh Saifuddin from her native locality, and they were blessed with two daughters.

However, she wanted to continue her studies after having children, but her husband’s family opposed this, which eventually led to their divorce in 2010.

On January 23, 2023, a Kolkata court ordered Mohammed Shami to pay her alimony of Rs. 1.30 lakh per month.
