Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman is not married, and currently, he is single. There isn’t much information available about his love life, so we can’t provide exact details about his romantic relationships.
Syed Saddiq is a Malaysian politician who became the Member of Parliament (MP) for Muar in May 2018. In 2023, he faced legal issues and was convicted of criminal breach of trust and money laundering.
He previously served as the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020.
This made him the youngest federal minister in Malaysian history. Additionally, Syed Saddiq is a founding member of the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) and served as its 1st President from September 2020 until November 2023.
He was also a founding member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a former component party of the PH coalition.
He served as the 1st Youth Chief of BERSATU from its founding in September 2016 until his removal from the party in May 2020.
Despite being the sole MUDA MP at present, his conviction and imprisonment for more than a year make him liable for automatic disqualification as the MP for Muar.
In 2021, Syed Saddiq faced corruption charges, including criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of funds, and money laundering.
On October 28, 2022, the High Court ordered him to enter his defense after sufficient evidence was presented against him.
On November 9, 2023, he was convicted by the High Court on all corruption charges and received a 7-year imprisonment sentence, a RM 10 million fine, and two strokes of the cane.
Saddiq was born on December 6, 1992, in Pulai, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. His dad is from Singapore and worked as a construction worker there, while his mom used to be an English teacher.
As the youngest of four siblings, Saddiq attended the Royal Military College (RMC) before pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

During his time at IIUM, he participated in an Asian-level debate competition, winning the United Asian Debating Championship (UADC).
He gained recognition in the debating community, securing Asia’s Best Speaker award at the Asian British Parliamentary (ABP) Debating Championship three times.
Saddiq often enjoyed going clubbing with fellow female students while studying.
In 2017, it was rumored that he turned down an offer to study at Oxford University, England (though Oxford University later denied making such an offer) to stay active in politics.
A year later, at the age of 25, after becoming an MP, Saddiq reportedly rejected another scholarship offer, this time saying no to the Chevening Scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy at Oxford University.
In April 2021, Saddiq completed the Lee Kuan Yew Senior Fellowship in Public Service Programme at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
