Megan Thee Stallion was born on 15 February 1995 to Joseph Pete Jr. (Father) and Holly Thomas (Mother) in San Antonio, Texas. After her birth, Megan’s mother moved to Houston and Holly rapped under the name “Holly-Wood”. She would bring her daughter Megan with her to recording sessions.
Megan Thee was raised in the South Park neighborhood of Houston before settling with her mother in Pearland at the age of 1. She lived with her mother in Pearland until she turned 18.

When Megan was 15 years old then her dad passed awya. Her father was in prison for the first 8 years of Megan’s life. Her mother passed away from brain cancer in March 2019. Megan said,
“At this point in my life, I really realized that my mama was really driving the car for a long time. I didn’t even have to think about too many things when mama was with me. I feel like it is just recently that it’s clicking to me, like who can I ask anything to?”
“She was like, ‘Just because I’m sick that don’t mean yous not supposed to be going to do your work. You got to a show tomorrow.’ I had a show in California for the first time … it was at Diesel.”
“It was just over so quick and I was just like, ‘Oh my God, what do I do? ‘Don’t stop,’ so then I just took that literally. And we’re here today.”
In her parents’ honor, Megan Thee started a foundation Pete and Thomas Foundation in February 2022. The foundation is a non-profit organization that generates awareness around campaigns and programmatic activities with a focus on education.

My family raised me to help others and give back, so I’m incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal.
