Rika Sennett (born 16 February 1952) is a South African actress best known for playing Laetitia in the Afrikaans soap opera Binnelanders. She played Matron Lydia de Wet on the SABC2 medical drama series Hillside in 2008.
Sennett is also known for her role as Rissiepit in the film Snip. The character brought her to the limelight in the seventies.

Rika Sennett was born on 16 February 1952 in Bloemfontein, South Africa. She started acting in 1973, earning the actress over fifty years of experience on local television.
Standing out in the entertainment industry has always come easy to her. She has brought to life each role assigned to her since her debut. Rika rose to prominence in the seventies due to her excellent and remarkable contribution to the industry.
Education
After completing her primary school education, she studied at the University of Stellenbosch.
Career
Sennett landed the role of Hettie van Graan in the SABC2 drama series The Mating Game in 2010. She played Ada Rademan in the movie Roepman in 2011. The production was about the railway community in the 1960s.
Helen Joseph is the role she played in the television film Mrs. Mandela. She portrayed Liz in the television series Bentley. She has since appeared in many other movies and television productions.
Rika appeared in The Long Run, Rienie, Just Hearing the Children, The Square, and Oily Colony. In 2008, she played Matron Lydia de Wet on the SABC2 medical drama series Hillside.
Many saw more of her acting talent in the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders as Laetitia. She played Annie in Dam, Lydia Botha in Diepe Waters, Lynette in Erfsondes, Dorothea van Wyk in Feast of the Uninvited, and Magda Strydom, a supporting role in the kykNET medical procedural series Hartklop.
Rika appeared as Magda in the M-Net telenovela Legacy and Koba Kruger in Hotel. Chichi’s Doctor was her role in the SABC2 drama Jacob’s Cross.
In M-Net’s miniseries Feast of the Uninvited, she portrayed Dorothea van Wyk. It premiered on 23 January 2008 and aired its last episode on 27 February 2008.
Rika has performed in over sixty-five theatrical productions across all genres over her many years as a professional actor. Playing Warja earned her the Computicket Award at the DALRO Awards.

Personal Life
Rika Sennett and her husband, James Borthwick, are proud parents of two children. The name of their first daughter is Kate Borthwick, and Hannah Borthwick is their second.
