Spokes H (born 29 March 1968) was a South African musical artist, songwriter, and composer. He was best known for his songs Under Control and Tamatie So in the late 1980s. He later dropped other hit songs like Rabaki, Peace Magents, Ba ntebetse, and Mohla ke tsamayang.
In 2018, Spokes H received the posthumous SAMA Lifetime Achievement Award. His real name was Letona Spokes Hlatshwayo.

Early Life
Spokes H was born Letona Spokes Hlatshwayo on 29 March 1968. He became a household name in the 1980s with hit songs such as Tamatisous. He has two known siblings, the older brother, Mohlopheki Msene and Samuel Mfene.
Career
The late singer was best known for hit songs such as Tamatisous. In the 1990s, he continued dropped anthems such as Rabaki and Peace Magnets. South Africans remember him for his irreverent and comical lyrics.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and Nathi Mthethwa presented him with a Sama Lifetime Achievement Award in Sun City, North West, in June 2018.
His mother, Jane Mfene, received the award and charmed TV audiences with her acceptance speech.
Personal Life
Spokes H had three baby mamas and children – Neo, Mahlatse, and Karabo. His first baby mama Jeanet Mamba from Tafelkop, Groblersdal, Limpopo, is the mother of his eldest child Neo.
Jeanet claimed that after the singer’s demise in 2013, his mother wanted to claim everything.
The baby mamas had built a great relationship and shared royalties and policy monies among the offspring. His other baby mama, Puseletso Phatlane, is the mother of Karabo.
Cause of Death
Legendary musical artist Spokes H was admitted to the hospital because of high blood-related sickness.
His health deteriorated until he succumbed to the sickness on 23 July 2013 at the Kopanong Hospital in Vereeniging. He died aged 45.
